  • BABY SPLASH - Parented (4 - 18 months)

    Build the foundation to swim independently sooner than traditional lessons! This is NOT a music class, we introduce basic skills like water acclimation, floats, buoyancy, breath control, and jumps. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment to bond with your baby. You will receive an underwater video of your baby swimming so you can cherish these memories forever! Check out our baby top 10!

    6 students max per class


    Class Pre-requisites:

    No prior swim lessons or aquatic experience required for student or accompanying adult (1 adult max per baby).

  • TODDLER SPLASH - Parented (19 - 36 months)

    Build the foundation to swim independently sooner than traditional lessons! This is NOT a music class; we empower parents to get your toddler to swim independently on or before 3 years of age! Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment to bond with your toddler. We keep the fun and learning levels high!

    6 students max per class


    Class Pre-requisites:

    No prior swim lessons or aquatic experience required for student or accompanying adult. All prior H2O Baby Splash students must take at least 1 round of Toddler Splash before advancing to Toddler Shark due to developmental reasons.

    TODDLER SHARK - Parented (24 - 36 months)

    Build the foundation to swim independently sooner than traditional lessons! This is NOT a music class; we empower parents to get your toddler to swim independently on or before 3 years of age! We further develop skills learned in Toddler Splash with more advanced maneuvers. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment to bond with your toddler.

    6 students max per class


    Class Pre-requisites:

    Student must have taken Toddler Splash at least once and be at least 24 months old.

    TODDLER SHARK - Un-parented (30 - 36 months)

    This is the first un-parented class that toddlers can take if they meet all class prerequisites. We focus on kicking, entries, floating, breath control, and safety. Toys are used to teach fundamental skills and keep students engaged! Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for toddlers to learn.

    2 students max per class


    Class Pre-requisites:

    By invite only. Student must have taken Toddler Shark (parented) at least once and be at least 30 months old.

  • MINI SPLASH (3 & 4 years old)

    In this unparented class, we build confidence and technique in the water while focusing on achieving the MINI SHARK BENCHMARKS (see below). Emphasis is on horizontal body position during kicking, basic entries, floating, breath control, introduction to eggbeater, and safety. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for kids to learn.

    No prior swim lessons or aquatic experience required.

    MINI SHARK (3 & 4 years old)

    This unparented class is for students who meet all MINI SHARK BENCHMARKS (see below). They have prior swimming experience and are comfortable in and under water. We focus on further refining kicking technique, introducing initial stroke development, refine basic entries, floating, build on breath control, introduction to eggbeater, and safety. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for kids to learn.

    Class Pre-requisites:

    Meets all Mini Shark Benchmarks.

    The student can confidently perform:

    1. Front flutter in a horizontal position with a noodle and board (without a SwimFin or flippers)

    2. An unassisted standing jump to a noodle (without a SwimFin)

    3. Five bobs (comfortable going under the water)

    4. A back starfish float with or without a noodle (without a SwimFin)

    5. A front starfish float with or without a noodle (without a SwimFin)

  • KID SPLASH (5 & 6 years old)

    We build confidence and technique in the water while focusing on achieving the KID SHARK BENCHMARKS (see below). Emphasis is on horizontal body position during kicking, basic entries, floating, breath control, introduction to eggbeater, and safety. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for kids to learn.

    3 students maximum per class

    Class Pre-requisites:

    No prior swim lessons or aquatic experience required, and student is 5-6 years old.

    KID SHARK (5 & 6 years old)

    This class is for students who meet all KID SHARK BENCHMARKS (see below). They have prior swimming experience and are comfortable in and under water. We focus on further refining kicking technique, introducing initial stroke development, refine basic entries, floating, build on breath control, introduction to eggbeater, and safety. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for kids to learn.

    3 students maximum per class

    Class Pre-requisites:

    Meets all Kid Shark Benchmarks.

    This class is for students who have little/no swimming experience or are nervous/fearful in the water. We focus on overcoming fear through developing a respectful relationship with the water. We introduce students to the basics of kicking technique, entries, floating, breath control, introduction to eggbeater, and safety. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for kids to learn.

    2 students maximum per class


    Class Pre-requisites:

    Intro classes are for very nervous and/or scared students. No experience is required.

    Is comfortable in the water but does not meet all of the Tween Shark Benchmarks. May or may not have formal swimming lessons experience but is not overly scared of the water.

Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for kids to learn.

    Class Pre-requisites:

    Meets all Tween Shark Benchmarks.

  • TEEN SPLASH (13-17 years old)

    We build confidence and technique in the water by further refining kicking, strokes, entries, floating, breath control, eggbeater, and safety techniques. Our 88-90-degree F pool provides a warm, fun, and inviting environment for teens to learn.

    Class Pre-requisites:

    Is comfortable in the water and has some prior swimming knowledge and experience. May or may not have formal swimming lessons experience but is not overly scared of the water.

    For students in this age group who are fearful of the water, or for teens with specific swimming goals (for example: joining a competitive swim team), please contact us to set up a private/semi-private lesson.

  • ADULT LEARN 2 SWIM

    This class is for adults who have little to no swimming experience, or may experience anxiety, nervousness and/or fear of the water. We individualize feedback, build confidence, and help you overcome fear of water. We focus on water acclimation, kicking, floating, breath control, entries, eggbeater, and initial stroke development.

    Class Pre-requisites:

    No prior swim lessons or aquatic experience required and student is 18+ years old.

    ADULT SKILLS & DRILLS

    This class is for adults who meet the prerequisites and are comfortable in the water. Students can swim but may not know proper technique, or would like to improve become more efficient. We individualize feedback and focus on the mechanics of kicking and stroke technique, breath control, eggbeater, sculling, entrances, and floating.


    Class Pre-requisites:

    Limited or some swimming experience. Can move around comfortably in the water but may not have technique or knowledge of strokes, and 18+ years old.

    Aqua Zumba® brings new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. It combines the South American Zumba rhythm and dance steps with a pool party... we're gonna turn the lights down and the energy up! So, liven up your week with a fun but challenging, water-based, body-toning workout! This class is 45 minutes.

    Those looking to make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to their fitness routine.

    How It Works
    Aqua Zumba® blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn’t miss!

    Benefits
    There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba® class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.

    Single Class Pass - $30 (no classes available in Winter 2023)

    Get ready for magic! Launch into the mermaid dream with a 45-minute mermaid class… because mermaids and mermen have always killed it in the core department. This class is a combination of swimming, synchro, fitness, and fun... s​miles and splashes are waiting for you! We move to fun music and always leave time for photos!

    Class Pre-requisites:

    1. Can swim 2 laps of the pool

    2. Can perform 5 bobs

    3. Must be comfortable with legs being confined to a mermaid tail

  • Private lessons (1 teacher, 1 student)

    Semi-private lessons (1 teacher, 2 students) - All students must be at the same ability, and H2O is not responsible for finding a partner to swim with for semi-private lessons.

  • This comprehensive program is for children ages 3-5 years old and will offer your child a chance to explore the world of dance and swimming, all in one morning!

    The activities will start at KEYMC (505 Fort Whyte Way) where their skilled instructors will teach a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, and Creative Movement. Following a snack break, the dancers will be walked over to H2O Academy (200-400 Fort Whyte Way) for an engaging swimming session. At H2O Academy, the children will learn age-appropriate swimming skills necessary for safety as well as have some super fun pool time! Our goal is to provide a balanced program that combines learning, creativity, and physical activity.

    Registration for Swim-Dance Academy is done here through KEYMC (not through your Uplifter account).

    Drop In Lesson Refund Policy:

    All lessons with a cancellation notice of over 24 hours may be credited or refunded.
    Any lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be credited or refunded with a processing fee of $25.

The H2O Academy believes that everyone deserves to have an incredible swimming experience in a fun and safe environment. Our swimming lessons are purposefully designed through our proprietary AQUA-Lit™ Curriculum© to make learning fun, build confidence, and develop technical proficiency for students ages 4 months to adults. We’re committed to teaching students the life skill of swimming through our award-winning swimming lessons!

If your student has special abilities, please fill out the form below along with your registration. This helps our teachers understand your student's unique needs to offer a more tailored class experience, and to determine which class will be most appropriate for your student!

All H2O classes are age-based! New H2O clients must sign up for a Splash class within your age group. We not only place a heavy emphasis on a student's physical abilities, but their comfort and understanding of each skill as well. Our Shark benchmarks must be confirmed in a Splash class by one of our teachers prior to registering for a Shark program. H2O reserves the right to remove students from a class if they do not meet the benchmarks or have behavioural issues that prevent participation in a class due to class management and safety reasons. A credit that never expires will be awarded. Families can also choose a refund and there is a $25 processing fee.
